How a Surface Frame is Made.
Starting with carbon steel pipes carefully curated and sourced for perfection, precision tools are used to mill and bend.
Holding the layers are notched pipes perfectly fit like Lego blocks and TIG welded for beautiful yet super-strong hold. At least 30 years of experience has gone into it.
After an 8-stage phosphate dipping, the frame metal is free of any rust and cleared upto 99%. Post a quick check, 3 layers of paint is sprayed (black because it was a test model).
What you see was a 3rd mock-test for the production focused on better quality assurance measures, efficiency based iterations and process improvements.
As we move through the prototyping to the production stage, a new level of linear learning has become possible.
Next week we’ll share pictures from the final stages of on-road tests happing as we speak.
